This estimates the tiny centrifugal effect from Earth’s rotation. The important lesson: speed alone is not what you feel. What matters is acceleration, and Earth’s rotation has an enormous radius and a very slow angular rate.
Uses sidereal-day angular velocity. “Weight reduction” is the outward radial component of centrifugal acceleration: mω²(R+h)cos²(latitude). At the equator this is only about 0.34% of normal weight.
